San Diego concert schedule expands: Van Morrison, Trevor Noah, Karol G, Dropkick Murphys announce new shows

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Van Morrison, comedian Trevor Noah and Latin pop star Karol G are among the latest artists to announce new tours that include shows in San Diego.

Other artists who have headed down this path include Rod Wave, Waterparks, Dropkick Murphys, and Rancid. Additionally, comedian JoKoy added a second show in December at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, after selling his first there.

The simultaneous announcements of their new tours on Monday morning June 14 – as well as new US concert tours by Eric Clapton and former Tijuana guitarist Santana (which do not include any dates on the West Coast) – point out to how eager artists and concert promoters are to reactivate after the COVID-19 pandemic closed live events for more than a year. They are banking on the hope that fans hungry for live music will be just as eager to come back to concerts.

Here’s, in chronological order, the latest batch of new tours that will include stops in San Diego.
