Page Gallery hosts silent art auction fundraiser for Camden Library – Knox County VillageSoup

CAMDEN – Camden Public Library is hosting a silent art auction featuring well-known Midcoast artists. The exhibition will be on view at the Page Gallery, 23 Bay View St., November 6-13. am to 5:00 pm Auctions can be placed throughout the week, until 5:00 pm November 13th. The Art Auction is a fundraiser to benefit the Camden Public Library.

Participating artists include Ingrid Ellison, Greta Van Campen, Susan Van Campen, Samantha Appleton, Colin Page, Gideon Bok, T. Allen Lawson, Kate Fitzgerald, Antonia Munroe, Peter Ralston, Julie Crane, Margaret Rizzio, Ni Rong and Ileana Appleton.

“Our library is an incredible asset to our community and has done a great job of keeping residents informed and connected during this time of COVID,” said Colin Page, owner of Page Gallery.

“We are grateful to the local artists and our neighboring art collectors who have stepped up to help fundraising during the pandemic,” said library executive director Nikki Maounis. “For the second year in a row, the library had to cancel the Harbor Summer and Fall Arts and Book Fairs, typically our biggest revenue-generating events. Proceeds from this year’s art auctions are crucial in helping the library maintain our vital services.

Funds from the silent auction at the Page Gallery will be split equally between the artists and the Camden Public Library. The public is invited to stop by Page Gallery to view the art, make a donation to the library or place an offer.
