Making low carb simple
Instructions
Take butter and pork chops out of the refrigerator and set them aside in room temperature for later.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Shred onion, garlic and green cabbage with a sharp knife or a mandolin slicer, or in a food processor.
Heat a large frying pan and add butter. Sauté the vegetables soft for 10 minutes without letting them turn brown.
Add heavy cream, sour cream, cream cheese and spices. Stir thoroughly and let simmer for another 5–10 minutes.
Pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for 20 minutes.
Mix all ingredients for the parmesan butter with a fork in a small bowl.
Meanwhile, season the pork chops and fry or grill them until cooked through.
Let the meat rest for a few minutes before serving with the casserole and parmesan butter.
Tip!
An even simpler option is to have a couple of slices of roast beef or pastrami or a high-quality sausage.

So how big should these pork chops be? There is a lot of variation in pork chops in my store. Thanks!

This was a good recipe. Simple pork chop dressed up with a great butter. I love the butter recipes.
For the casserole, I made the DD ranch recipe, which calls for salt and pepper. Other recipes have indicated to leave out salt and pepper if it's already in your spice mix. You shouldn't do that here. The recipe doesn't call for much of the spice mix, so the extra salt and pepper is needed.

The cabbage casserole is tasty! I subbed evaporated milk for cream and didn't add the sour cream, as I was out. It still turned out nicely.

This recipe is amazing! I skipped the ranch and it came out phenomenal. Definitely a favorite. Made the pork (added seasonings) but without the butter.. also amazing. Great combo.

I made this cabbage casserole this morning. I didn't have any Ranch seasoning so I just put in some ranch dressing. Delicious. Absolutely delicious! I will definitely be making again.

Depends on your specific ingredients and how much your cabbage cooks down. In general, this is designed to make 6 servings as written.

If I make the cabbage casserole in jumbo muffin tins do you think they will hold their shape after baking? I really love crusty cheesy edges!

What makes this meal 11 carbs?
Mostly the cabbage, but the onion, garlic, heavy whipping cream, sour cream, cream cheese, and shredded cheese all contribute carbs, as well.

This recipe is so delicious. I used Jarlberg cheese (like Swiss cheese). I’m sure it would be great with cheddar also.
